We’ve Spent 20 Years Getting Digital Transformation Right
Our Story
After 20 years helping large enterprises advance their digital capabilities in technical and leadership roles, our founder, Dominik Muggli, launched Tansfom to bring that same expertise to more companies.
With deep experience spanning software development, enterprise architecture, IT infrastructure, and project management, Dominik saw firsthand the gap most businesses couldn’t fill on their own.
The Problem
Dominik found that in many organizations IT problems are being solved in bits and pieces, akin to firefighting. The big picture was often missed, leaving digital programs appearing disorganized at best, and missing out on providing critical value as a worst case scenario. Individual pockets of technical skills are often very well served through experienced technologists, but the full spectrum of considerations, especially in small and mid-sized organizations, remains lacking. This results in lost growth opportunities and market competitiveness, and operational risk, as building a large, comprehensive IT department can be expensive.
Having worked with many consulting firms in the past, Dominik also found that many of them lacked in critical dimensions, from technical expertise, to customer service, to holistic considerations. The most troublesome aspect, however, was that once consulting firms conclude their engagement, organizations revert back to their old ways.
The Vision
The solution Dominik identified was actually quite straightforward: combining high levels of technical competence with a relentless focus on customer service — truly working on behalf of clients, not only advocating for them, but striving for their success.
Simple, yet difficult to achieve if a business’s focus is solely on generating revenue. The vision truly is to serve customers first, and if we do a good job, all else will follow.
Tansfom Was Born
Having spelled out the vision for best serving customers, Dominik embarked on naming his business. It had to reflect transformation, with an available .com domain name. After some permutations and less than desirable options, he enlisted the services of his then 10-year-old daughter. Rather than adding letters to common words, she suggested removing them — leaving Tansfom as the choice.
